The Grand!

On Thursday 4th October 2007, the team & some good friends went to watch the performance of Dad’s Army, the lost episodes. The cast performed 4 episodes, A Stripe for Fraser, Loneliness of the long distance walker, The Room at the Bottom & The Deadly attachment. The cast included Mr Peter Martin as Captain Mainwaring, Mr David Warwick as Sargent Wilson & Mr Leslie Grantham as Joe Walker.

Each of the episodes were very well performed, with most of the actors playing the characters quite closely to the original cast.

The show was very funny, comic timing especially sharp. the last episode (The deadly attachment) had the classic & probably the most well known line (don’t tell him pike). This got a round of applause all by itself.

After the play, we were invited by the theatre manager, on stage for a short photo shoot with a few members of the cast. These were Mr Richard Tate (Jones) & Mr Leslie Grantham (Walker).

We’d like to thank the Production company (Calibre productions) & The Grand Theatre for this added treat.
